That same brawl type shit happened at the 04' Hoot. It was pretty fucking lame to see that shit........ Especially when Reverend Horton Heat was playing
Hour of Darkness-
That was me! I really appreciate you! Social D fans are some of the best I've encountered...You didn't try to rip me off like those other mofos down there that wanted $80 a piece...because you are a fan helping another fan out...it's not about business...but about the music!!
Thanks again Bro! You made my day and my buddy's month! That was his first SxDx show and he was VERY impressed!
Where do you live at? We drove about 3.5 or 4 hours to the show also from Knoxville...
Thanks!

Hey everybody,
Been lurking here for a little while now and thought I would finally throw down a little.
I was at the atl show also...look I've been going to shows since back in the day, I'm 37, and even in my teens and twenties I've never understood the attraction of acting like an ass in the pit, someone said it in an earlier post that it isn't about the violence..there is a huge difference in violence and feeling the energy of the show..I was in the middle of it pulling people out when they went down..me and all the other O.G's..lol..anyway it did get pretty violent and at my old age I could break a hip..lol
But what a great freakin show otherwise, I've seen em a bunch of times before and they just keep getting better and tighter-Mike is so underrated as a songwriter--he's our lennon, springsteen, cobain and doesn't get the recognition he deserves.
Anyway, great board and website keep the faith.

I guess I'm sorta getting to be an old timer, I'm 32 now, I haven't been to alot of shows, only 2 Social D shows. I was in the Pit in some Pink Lincoln shows in Knoxville once, It was a cool way to let out some energy during the show, but It was a smaller pit, It's obvious when you get into such a situation in a larger group of people who u don't know, your putting yourself at risk. You never know what may happen. I seen it all from the 2nd balcony, It got pretty ruff, all seemed to be the very young crowd that wanted to fight, they are still learning life, they will grow wiser one day with time. I seen one guy just go to his knees and act stupid, pushed everone away, it was like he was on some serious drugs or soemthign, like acid or something I dunno. lol. I think I could have held my ownn down there tho (I'm 6"1) but for my wife's sake, I'm glad we sat where we did. She enjoyed the show very much.

I agree, he's got a huge fan base tho, you gotta admit, Atlanta was sold out, and most of the shows have been. I think if they could get some videos out for this album, it will put them into mainstream. If they could get em played on MTV. Which I think they woudl if there were available. But I havent heard of any videos, so its unlikely I guess.
<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">Woah that's really weird that I met you in person before I've ever really talked to you on the board. But yeah, I could tell you guys really wanted to go and I know what its like being a hardcore fan, I wouldn't want to get ripped off by some douchebag either. I did the same thing when I saw them in Boston, sold the tickets for face value. It makes me really happy to learn it was your buddy's first SxDx show cuz that's really exciting. Anyway, I drove from Savannah, that's where I go to school, but I live in the Atlanta suburbs. Anyhow, I'm glad you and your buddy had a good time at the show and maybe I'll see ya at the next one.Originally posted by RUSSMONEY:

so hour of darknesss? why did u have extra tickets? just curious?
python,
i had an extra ticket cuz i had gotten a ticket for my friend and he bailed on me that day.
the show in 2001 in Boston I had two extra tickets cuz you could only get them thru this new ticket website, not ticketmaster, and my friend thought the tickets hadn't come. so we called and they gave us a confirmation number to get tickets at the door. but then my friend found out the tickets had come in the mail so we had two extras.
